Family Law Information Session

What we cover:

  • the impact of separation on parents and children
  • ways to reduce the emotional and financial costs of separation
  • an introduction to family law
  • an overview of the court process
  • alternatives to going to court, including mediation, arbitration and collaborative family law
  • your options

It includes:

  • a short question and answer period
  • resources materials and referrals

None.

Presenters

The session is presented by a family mediator or parent educator, and a lawyer. Specific legal advice about your case not provided.

When, Where, How and Who

Sessions are offered about once a month, in the evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at a location in Brampton or Mississauga, Ontario.

The FLIS Schedule

Registration is required.

Parties to a dispute will not be scheduled to attend the same session.

Certificates

Certificates of attendance are provided upon request.
