Associate and active team member of
Agree Dispute Resolution. Family, civil and workplace mediator. She also provides customized conflict management and interest-based negotiation training. In her family mediation practice she has mediated how and when to separate, parenting plans, child and spousal support, division of property, as well as specific issues around parenting communication plans, access to information, estate and intergenerational issues, and marriage contracts.

Heather’s academic background is in the field of Social Work, having completed a B.A. / B.S.W. from
McMaster University and a M.S.W. in Social Service Administration from the University of Windsor. She completed an extensive Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Mohawk College and has received both the Basic and Advanced Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate from the Faculty of Law, University of Windsor. She has also received a Basic Family and Advanced Mediation Skills Certificate from Conrad Grebel College, University of Waterloo. Heather has completed specialized training in Domestic Abuse and Mediation and Family Law and Family Mediation. Nine years involvement as a School Trustee for the Town of Dundas, for both The Wentworth County Board of Education and the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board has given her extensive experience in educational issues, collective bargaining, grievance procedures, and organizational disputes.

Heather is a Roster Mediator, Ontario Mandatory Mediation Program – Toronto and Windsor and is also a Roster Family Mediator, Toronto Family Mediation Program. She is a member of the ADR Section of the Ontario Bar Association and Family Mediation Canada. She has received the Chartered Mediator (C. Med.) designation from the ADR Institute of Canada and the Accredited Family Mediator (Acc.FM.) designation from the Ontario Association for Family Mediation.

An internship in Family Mediation at the
Ontario Court (Provincial Division), Jarvis Street, Toronto involved mediating high conflict custody, access and support cases to resolution.
